Bringing together hands-on care and personalised rehabilitation

Providing straight answers and purposeful care

I have built a reputation for clear explanations, careful assessment and a straight-forward approach to care.  I take my time to truly listen and work collaboratively with each patient, and provide honest, practical guidance.

Recovery is a partnership and your involvement make a difference. My role is to provide the expertise, guidance, and support, while you actively engages with the process during and between appointments to build strength, confidence and capability over time.

If you become a patient of mine you will know exactly what we're doing, why we're doing it and what it takes to make real change.

Progressive, personalised rehabilitation

Recovery can stagnate when rehabilitation does not go far enough or isn't addressed.  My approach combines hands-on care with progressive, tailored rehabilitation to help not only reduce plan but allow you to build strength and improve movement, meaning I show my patients what specific exercises are appropriate for them and actually teach them how to perform these exercises effectively.

Exercises can be adapted and made more challenging as you develop, with the aim of increasingly preparing you for the activities you actually want to get back to.

HOW TREATMENT WORKS

Helping to reduce pain
& improve movement

A thorough
assessment

Your first 60-minute appointment is designed to understand the full picture, not just your symptoms. Through a detailed discussion and physical assessment, you'll gain a clear explanation of what may be contributing to the problem and a structured plan for what to do next.

Hands-on treatment begins (where appropriate) with the aim at this stage of reducing pain and making movement easier — because when pain is limiting what you can do, it can also make it harder to stay active and build back up your strength and confidence.

Building strength & resilience

As symptoms improve, the focus shifts to progressively rebuilding strength and function through tailored exercise & rehab. Rather than simply resting, recovery often involves challenging your body again.

Getting you to
independence

The measure of good care isn't how long it lasts, but how well you function without it. Some people get there quickly, others take longer — but the decision is always yours.

Sound like you?

Different problems. Different stories.

But often patients have the same frustrations.

Whether you've had pain for years, hurt something recently, or simply want to understand what's going on in your body — the aim here is always the same:

a clear picture, an honest plan, and personalised care focused on your progress.

If any of the following sounds familiar you are in the right place.

You have had the same problem treated the same way multiple times - and keep ending up back at square one.

Recurring pain can sometime mean the approach hasn't fully addressed the factors contributing to it. An assessment that looks at how you’re moving and functioning, not just where it hurts can provide useful information on what these factors may be.

You're a runner, gym-goer, athlete or active person who's been told to rest and wait.

Rest has its place in the early stages. But for most active people, the answer to a persistent or recurring problem isn't less movement — it's the right movement, built up gradually and guided properly.

You've been told it's wear and tear, bone on bone, or just your age - and you're left feeling discouraged.

The diagnosis may well be accurate but the conclusion many people are left with is that movement is risky, and that little can be done.  Usually this isn't the whole story - keeping muscles around a joint strong and moving is one of the most evidence-backed strategies as we get older.  This is where my rehab focus comes into play.

You've hurt something and you're not sure what's safe to do.

Not knowing what to do next can be as limiting as the pain itself. A clear assessment and honest explanation goes a long way — including guidance on what's safe to do now, and what to gradually build back toward.

You've never seen a chiropractor before and you're not entirely sure what to expect.

Not knowing what to expect is common but nothing happens before we've had a proper conversation and you understand what's being suggested and why.

Mark N.

I’ve seen a number of chiropractors over the last thirty years due to ongoing back problems. Nic’s approach is less focused on quick fixes and more on sustained health — and I can very happily say he’s the best I’ve seen.

Jo.W

I have suffered from headaches linked to neck pain for years. Sessions of physio and massage were not resolving the issue. After just three sessions I’m already feeling the benefit. Nic’s professionalism, thoroughness during the initial session and wealth of knowledge immediately puts you at ease

WHAT PATIENTS SAY

Caroline P.

I stopped running due to a recurring back injury and for two years tried to accept that running was something I used to do. In just a few weeks, with a programme of exercises and a boost of confidence, I have returned to running and I couldn't be more grateful.

Hannah, M

I first came across Nic when I was feeling stuck in a cycle of repeat maintenance appointments, unsure if my progress depended on them. I decided to make the jump and I am glad I did

Terry

I was struggling with a rotator cuff injury that I thought I might need an operation on. Through a lot of patience and rigidly keeping to Nic's programme, I have managed to sort the issue out.
